The Area

Largely residential, West Kensington is a great fit for those seeking a bit of peace while close to all the action, as the vibrant centres of High Street Kensington and Earls Court are just a walk away, but by staying here you’re guaranteed a slightly more tranquil existence than you might find in more well-known parts of London. The area is filled with Victorian terraced houses and a mix of independent shops, restaurants and bars, that give the area plenty of character.

West Kensington is very well served when it comes to public transport, particularly if you’re travelling around West London or into Central London. West Kensington station is on the District Line, while nearby Earls Court and Barons Court have access to both the District Line and the Piccadilly Line. As a result, Piccadilly Circus is just an 11-minute journey away, and Knightsbridge a mere 5 minutes.

West Kensington is also the place to stay if you’re attending an event at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, coming to see tennis at the famous Queens Club, or want somewhere affordable that’s really close to Kensington’s tourist attractions, as well as being a vibrant community, so that you can feel a part of the neighbourhood.
